  1. lincolnimp scored this whisky 90 points Connoisseur

Great stuff another early 80`d blend that I consider a real find, tastes really good.
    • Nose
You can smell the caramel but its really pleasant, candied pineapple and orange, buttercream, butterscotch, fudge, smells sweet.

This will either be lovely or awful no half measures I feel.
    • Taste
Great, its not awful, tastes quite old, some OBE for sure here, the fruits are there again that were on the nose but some sweet yellow plum now and some jammy notes, light breakfast marmalade and some biscuit.

Gets syrupy after a while with a few leather notes and very faint hints of beef slice
    • Finish
Medium length, quite sweet with a few vanilla notes from the grain at the end.

A pleasant blend, not spoiled by time. (86)
    • Nose
In the aroma of honey, herbs, marmalade. Sticky vanilla and butter. Deeper old weathered chocolate, raisins and dates. Almost a little glue. (22)
    • Taste
The taste continues the aroma, the body is slightly oily, creamy and honey (21.5)
    • Finish
The finish is surprisingly sharp, grain burn, herbal bitterness...pepper and grain. (20,5)

I liked this blend which contains a fair amount of Dalwhinnie and Glentauchers.

I found this dram ok actually, as a nightcap it did the job.
    • Nose
Some porridge with a good squeeze of honey, corn flakes in a box , some toffee notes and dry leaves.
    • Taste
First sip I give it a good swill around the mouth and you can taste the grain but it's just slight , green tea comes to mind as well, with some figs and a bit of fudge.
    • Finish
The finish was short and there was slight bitterness on the death.

This is the first time I have purchased a bottle with an inbuilt measure pourer at the top of the bottle.

A really good blend in my view, at the  end of my big blend adventure almost so I am finishing on a high with this one.

    Simple profile but it works.

The 40%/43% is the norm not seen this abv before 43.28%
