    The wine influence is unmistakable – mostly in the finish – but the spirit kept the wine well under control and put it to work in its favor. 
    • Nose
      The nose is very aromatic on quince, marzipan, dried apricots and some rhubarb. I get a lovely spiciness with cinnamon and cloves in the lead. It is a tad waxy, which I can appreciate. This is very outspoken and sweet, and simply marvelous.
    • Taste
      The arrival is very creamy and piquant. The spices are very loud: nutmeg, black pepper, cinnamon and liquorice. But the fruit shines through very nicely. I get some plums, fresh figs, apricots, a bit of caramelized orange peel and a bitterness as if I’ve bitten on a grape pith. But all the flavors are really well integrated, bringing a smile to my face.
    • Finish
      The finish is long, drying a somewhat bitter from tannins at the death.

    Good job on this one ! It's not oversweet, the distillate has it say, and alcohol is well integrated.
    • Nose
      The quinces and damsons from the distillate manage to hold a candle against the wine, which is discrete so far, showing hints of cinnamon and rhubarb.
    • Taste
      Very good, alcohol is well integrated and once again the wine just tweaks the initial fruitiness, bitter plums mostly, instead of replacing it as it often does. Not too easy, slightly tannic but not too much. 
    • Finish
      Same vein, long, wine might be a little more noticeable now. Like a tannic Grog.
