- This bottling appears on the market around the year 2000, though it was bottled in 1988. There exists also another version of this bottling (same data / same whisky)with a white cap.
- Pretty green - reminds me a lot on unripe fruits
Green fruits, little honeydew, little leafy, green apple, green banana, star fruit, spices, pepper, hints of white wine, lime, littl ecitric, lemon peel, hints of old books - not bad
Leafy, green fruits, little grassy, vegetables, grapefruit, little sweetness
Medium long, warm, more grapefruit, probably a little bitter, more grassy, wet earth
Light, delicate, fresh, fruity (citrus, passion fruit, oranges), tea, sultanas, orange marmalade, honey, cardboardy, spicy (pepper, ginger, cinnamon), coastal notes
Fresh, sweet, sultanas, liquorice, mint, honey, star anise, cloves, herbs, grassy, smooth, salty, oysters
Long, fresh, malty, fruity, dry, herbal, sweet, salty
- [June, 2005] Together with friends I emptied a bottle that I bought for 71,50 Euro (140 Deutschmark) in October, 1997.
In my old rating system (ten scales that translate into WB points: 50 - 66 - 75 - 80 - 82,5 - 85 - 87,5 - 90 - 92,5 - 95) I scored it 90. My notes simply state a "sensational stuff to drink"...
