- N: Wine gums, confectionary fruits and bakers fruits with an interesting sherry complex that requires some attention.

- This is how versatile Zuidam can be. This is a single malt that would make you think it's a rye actually. I guess this was matured in new French oak to add a lot of spiciness to the spirit. A perfect aperitive.
Smells very spicy for a single malt. Rosemary, bay leaf, holly, juniper. Behind this blast of spiciness comes sweet malt, vanilla, orange juice, orange zest, and caramelised pear.
It's creamy, full-bodied yet very spicy and herbal: stem ginger, juniper, pine resin, rosemary, orange marmalade, candied dried fruits, and vanilla. The taste ends woody and dry.
The finish is quite long, and milder than the palate suggests. There is vanilla, oak, nutmeg, clove, bay leaf, ginger, and orange zest.
