Honey, vanilla, light sherry notes of raisins and dates, light furniture polish, apricot jam, lemon zest, very light toffee, brine, candy cane. Very nice.
Pefect alcohol level, warm and peppery, sweetness is great, cane sugar and candy cane, light oak, lots of barley, really good stuff. Second chew brings light smoky notes, brine, light pepper, and wood spices, mostly cloves, sweetness is down a notch, really amazing balance here. Starts to fill up more in the mouth also. Third chew shows a more oily and slightly drier structure, more black pepper warmth, but it's even better. Butterscotch, light dried herbs, oak level is great. Smoke building up along with more brine, sort of smoky salted caramel. Truly amazing stuff.
Wonderful warmth, peppers, wood spices, remnants of salted caramel, soft smoke, a bit of dried herbs, light pear juice. A while after tasting some bitter grape skins show up, but not enough to spoil the party.
