Great Irish barrel strength malt. Conveys nice, full sherry flavors despite the rather short ripening time. Thinning also helps and tickles out even more. I like it very much.
Clearly a candidate for purchase for me.

First an intense wood note, dark fruity aromas of plums and grapes. A little pear and bananas are added. Spices of white pepper, nutmeg, but also honey-sweet, in the background some vanilla and fresh hay notes with grain and malt. Over time, there was also noticeable tobacco and chocolate notes. Every now and then it looks metallic and young.
A little diluted it becomes creamier, lighter, this slightly metallic disappears and more bright fruits, with pineapple, are added. And also the sweetness, vanilla becomes stronger.

rather strong beginning, covers the whole mouth with a pronounced peppery and hot sherry note, very dark fruity with oak spice and a little artificial sweetness like wine gums, apple, apricot, form a contrast to the dark fruits at the back. All in all, rather barrel-heavy and strong.

Medium-long finish, nice nutty, fruity, sweet wine gum aroma, herbs, oak, dry tobacco.

Ok, I imagined the Whistlers in a different way. Are much more aggressive in the negative sense than thought. The sherry comes through clearly, but it does not much better ...
    • Nose
Hui, what is that? Autumn leaves extremely dry and smoked, musty soil, dusty oak, shell of walnut
    • Taste
Very snappy, Alcohol tip ahoy, only after 5-10 seconds slowly Oloroso starts to get through, so really moldy-weathered with autumn leaves, trail mix and old red wine (expired), as some questionable Weincasks,
    • Finish
Slightly snappy, dry olroso and oak with pepper and berry bushes in alcohol, medium length

A surprising fine and complex young irish whisky. nicely shaped and also the musical notes on the edge of the cap are a nice addition. It was a pity that none of us could read notes :)
