  1. wisekycourse scored this whisky 78 points Connoisseur

Nose: Sherry, spices, wood, almonds, then cinnamon, vanilla and the scent of mirabelle ...
Palate: Velvety, green fruits (granny apple), fresh grass
    Finish: Woody and spicy
    eaten blind!
(no wax, no bitterness, no lemon found)
... in fact, I must be refractory to green fruits!

    • Nose
Sweet, fresh, fruity (apples, lemons), vanilla, grainy
    • Taste
Light, delicate, lemons, some peat smoke
    • Finish
      Rather short, sweet, dry

  5. Igor scored this whisky 82 points Expert Senior

    • Nose
Vinegary, sour, soft, herbal freshness, juniper, tonic water, hint of absinthe, unripe pears, green apples, white grapes, not too much of sweetness though, some vanilla, passion fruit.
    • Taste
Palatable, flavourful. Medium-bodied. Profound wood influence, oaky, vegetable, shredded cabbage, slightly salty, seashells, lemon, pith of orange, white dry wine.
    • Finish
Oysters besprinkled with squeezed lemon, lime zest, wormwood, parsley, hazels, walnuts, and a bit of soft spice. The aftertaste is particularly drying in its last stage.

  8. markjedi1 scored this whisky 80 points Connoisseur

This Japanese whisky is OK, but does not really impress.
    • Nose
The nose is sweet and fruity on vanilla and white appels (peelings included) and a lot of grain. Maybe even some lemon grass. The whole is light, inviting and a bit too well manered.
    • Taste
The attack is very weak. Light and almost watery. Lemon grass returns, with honey and liquorice, very lightly peated. Some spices. Midpalate it becomes a little less flat and emphasizes on caramel and the fruit. Sweet, I will give it that.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
    • Finish
The finish is short to medium in length and somewhat drying.

    • Nose
Nose gives the sense of mint, grass, green
apple, flowers, soap, malted barley, hay, light fruit sweetness and light root
      spices. Spirit is pretty obvious.
    • Taste
It starts with cream and pepper, a little
bit of dryness, root spices, additionally, some smooth notes and sweetness.
    • Finish
Medium long with hints of mint, semidry
      with notes of roasted meat.
