  1. Marko_I did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

Tasty, tasty, not too thin, as the 40% fear, for 25 € unbeatable, as you could ask 40 for.
    • Nose
very mild, a little Christmassy - gingerbread spice, milk chocolate, black tea, a hint of orange
    • Taste
mild and sweet, caramel, chocolate, some cinnamon, slightly bitter (black tea, pulled a little too long ;-)), licorice
    • Finish
rather long, velvety, dry, dark chocolate, coffee, spicy-spicy

In a mini tasting with the Glenalba 27 and 35 year old drunk. I thought this was the least of the three because it was watery in the mouth.
    • Nose
Apple, honey, raisins, cinnamon, melon, lemon, chocolate, cherries and raspberry.
    • Taste
Honey, raisins, nuts, lemon, cherries, black currants and chocolate.
    • Finish
Short to mid-long, raisins, lemon, chocolate, forest fruits and white pepper.

Compared with the 27 and 35, this is clearly much more blend-like.
    • Nose
      Orange, caramel and grain cookie.
    • Taste
Caramel, grains, orange, apple and vanilla.
    • Finish
      Caramel, vanilla, apple and cookie.

  10. Goethe scored this whisky 83 points Expert Senior

All in all this malt has an artificial character to it (not in a very bad way) but also some fruity sherry notes. This one is not too much into the Grain direction what makes it quite interesting for 25€! Although you are gona recognize so old components there is a spicy citrusy layer in between.

    Concerning price/performance ratio: 9/10
    • Nose
Sherry, plums, sweet apples, some vanilla, wild honey, way in the back some scones, leach, burned glue.
    • Taste
Sherry, fruits, spices, again some scones, getting dryer, faints of red fruits, some citrus.
    • Finish
Medium. Hints of oak. Some chocolate.
