Whisky Reviews for Tomatin 2002

Very sweet but yet delicate notes of red fruits, red berries blended to a smoothie. Some sawdust and pencil shavings. After a few minutes there is some vanilla and toffee to be found. A very good nose.
Water makes this whisky open up more, there is more hay and dry grass notes then. But you don't need to put much water in it (I used 3ml on a 35ml pour).
Sweet and mellow. Warming red fruits. Like cherries on alcohol with ice-cream. With water it get's even more sweet and better.
Smooth as silk
Medium - long length. Again those sweet red berries. A bitter hint, but mainly a nice sweet red fruit taste.
A bit hefty, but the quality makes it quite good. I bought this bottle for €105,-. I didn't want to, but I got a sip from a sample bottle at my retailer and I was sold immediatly.
Nice and classy.
A expensive, but really really good one!
