  1. FritzeKrautman scored this whisky 86 points Connoisseur

Very unusual, interesting nose. The taste is then again "conservative" but still good. The finish is quite exciting with the strong note of toasted wood.

Sweet, tingling alcohol, honey, malt, roasted aromas, berries, some bitterness, pepper

Pretty long finish. Toasted oak, strong alcohol, spices, berries, roasted aromas, espresso

He gets a bonus point for his crazyness! What a crazy filling, power, flavor, everything included and yet super drinkable.
    • Nose
What is that : D That has little of whisky left, crazy nose, very intense, salty, peppery and essential oils, cabin in the whaling boat, plus lots of candle wax, old rye bread with eggplant spread, camphor, fennel, chestnut and hazelnut
    • Taste
Grapefruit peel, roasted pineapple, rye bread, roasted malt, salt and pepper that I rarely had with a whisky, wow! Hazelnut spread, walnut shell, cocoa powder, green apple, tree resin, ginger juice, birch juice, wax
    • Finish
Tobacco leaves, roasted pineapple chips, green apple, walnut, ginger, long, warm, nice, dry-sweet-spicy

My first and only Lochside. Powerful, salty, sour-spicy, pepper, camphor, lollipops, unripe banana, somewhere on the background of smoke in the green grass. The finish is average. 22.5-22.5-22-22

  6. sagara-kun scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

Tasted alongside her sister cask # 20621.
It's a little less integrated here and a little too green.
    • Nose
      87 87
      Very powerful nose.
We have a fairly green exoticism. Pineapple, lemon.
Coriander seeds, white pepper, light spray.
      Green wood.
      Very light smoke, cold tobacco.
    • Taste
      88 88
In the mouth we have caramel, a nice dose of salt.
      Lemon, lime, pineapple, guava.
      White pepper, varnish, green wood.
      Simple, powerful, and efficient.
    • Finish
      87 87
Long finish on a light smoke, white pepper, lemon, coriander, and a little redcurrant.
      Light caramel.

  7. vlad78 scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

Bright, burning, sweet and fiery whisky.
    • Nose
Sweet, with spices, jam from apple, apricot, prunes, dried apricots, and varnish.
    • Taste
      Sweet, lacey and peppery taste.
    • Finish
      The same aftertaste.

Ether and strength and saltiness, great powerful whisky, no questions asked! Maybe in 2014 it was 80 points, but the additional aging in the bottle played its role and in 2021 it is the highest class !!!

  9. Tom na Gruagaich scored this whisky 80 points Connoisseur

Nose: the same notes as 1991 by G & M (WB-ID 20744), malty, grassy, oak, spicy, light fruit, some wax, a little less fresh, but a little sweeter.
Mouth: strong, at 62% no miracle, then again spicy oak, and quite dry.
Finish: harsh, some oak (is an ex-Bourbon barrel), slightly sweet, spicy and the peat smoke you have to look, barely there.

Conclusion: Same style as the 1991 G & M, a little sweeter and a little less dry, also less peaty.
