    Nice whisky, a bit harsh in the mouth, but otherwise very fine.
    The story is definitely top notch.

    • Nose
      Medium smoke, honey, herbs, slightly waxy, dried oranges.
    • Taste
      Oops, pretty strong in the mouth, peat, again more herbaceous, tart oak, which is now much more present. A little honey is still there.

      I am surprised by the violent bitter notes at the start. I did not expect.
    • Finish
      That is why the finish tends to have a cool, minty oak note and is still quite tart. But it gets rounder over time, the peat smoke hovers nicely over everything, honey, herbs and also some orange peel are included. And it is definitely long.

    Nose: smoke, walnut, cranberries, baked apple, honey, fruity, cranberries, peach, apricots, light cowshed.

    Mouth: When I had it in my mouth I was a little disappointed.
    Lots of pepper, some milk chocolate, not very complex
    In the tasting it falls off a bit. Expected a little more from the nose.

    The finish is very short too. A pity
    The story behind it is even better.

    • Nose
      88 88
      A mix of ripe forest berries and smoked apple slices. Freshly poured, it delivers an alcoholic note - let it air out ... yes, that helps, although the alcohol note is not completely eliminated.
      Ripe grapes, dried figs, moldy wood, furniture polish. A herbal note comes, becomes more intense, cloves, cinnamon, pepper and nutmeg are added. Now the alcohol note is completely gone, instead I think that I can now clearly perceive smoke. I only have smoke that late at a distillery ... It looks to the nose as if he could be a little bully on the tongue.

      Initially only warming, but then powerfully striking start. Starts with pepper and clove powder and a beautiful and intense peat smoke note. Slightly dry and woody. Leather and tobacco notes, raisins and figs. Sweet-spicy-smoky with a slight bitterness. Cocoa and coffee powder, dark chocolate.
    • Finish
      85 85
      The smoke regained strength in the finish and is now carrying the whisky. Otherwise with a short and crisp finish, a little coffee powder, fading berry fruit notes.
