This was only my 15th Glenburgie to date, but certainly one of the best I tried so far. Especially the nose, if you are patient, is out of this world. Thank you, Joey, for the sample!
    • Nose
The nose starts fairly closed, but be patient. It is worth it. After a few minutes of breathing and hand warmth, this Glenburgie evolves towards the tropical side of the spectrum. Unripe banana goes hand in glove with sugar candy, lime flanks pineapple and vanilla embraces mint. Autumn leaves and wild flowers. Perfumy, but in the good sense. Excellent.
    • Taste
It is oily on the palate, a bit candy-like on Turkish Delight and quite spicy. Dried fruits like apricots and passion fruit join the banana, the autumn leaves remains and the spices become quite loud. The mint keeps it fresh, while the fruit evolves towards the candied variety. Fruit tea. Dark honey. Pineapple cubes, sugared orange peel and kiwi. This is heavenly.
    • Finish
The medium long finish puts the spices in the spotlight once more and leaves the mouth somewhat dry.

A very appreciable Glenburgie, and highly drinkable. A profile without much surprise for this distillery which I am rarely disappointed. I'm still waiting for a reference Glenburgie. (Above 90)
    • Nose
A super greedy nose on the candies "Dragibus" first. After a few moments we find more common notes like banana and vanilla. The whole is very fresh and minty, a real pleasure.
    • Taste
Like on the nose we find this minty freshness. The integration of alcohol is not perfectly successful but still suitable. We find mainly spices, mint and some scattered fruits.
    • Finish
Medium length on floral notes, woody and spicy first to leave room then quickly to a more pastry side with vanilla, milk chocolate, cream and butter.

Absolutely no soap in my nose (with regard to first entry by Gaija) but wonderful yellow and tropical fruits.

On the nose, it's velvety, a little sour candy, a little crushed banana, a lot of malt and some very sweet wood!
    • Nose
very fruity on exotic fruits, banana and pineapple in particular, explosion of scents!
      glue, wood and some encaustic.

If not for the soap on the nose, that'd be a total winner.
    • Nose
Humm, fresh notes of green bananas and candyfloss, slightly acidic and lime-y. Very "innocent" nose. Both leafy and fruity, in quite a sexy way. Sadly, there's a bit of soap to be found --> edit : fortunately, later entries by other members never had this problem, that might just have been me ;).
    • Taste
Delicious, better focused, greatly exotic with tons of dry passion fruit, still leafy as well though, with just the right oakiness to structurate the whole. Very, very good.
    • Finish
Still both juicy and leafy, clean, fruity and beerish.
