- Smoky chocolate (does that exist?). Pine resin. A walk through an autumnal forest. You can almost smell the rotting leaves (we're sorry, leaves). Oriental spices. Leather and wet pipe tobacco. Eating Lebkuchen on a christmas market with smoked ham cooking somewhere in the backround. Very sweet, oily and complex mouthfeel. Just a touch of sandalwood and peat in the finish. Feels a lot older than 14 years. A nice wintery dram.
- I had higher expectations after the excellent 10 year PC from Maltman. Was missing the bacon. Good PC with a nice smokiness but not that special
- Some dirty smokiness on the nose, almost like those Buna Móine. Also red fruit. I like that. The taste is nice, too. Creamy and dry at the same time. The aftertaste is... different. Peas and green beans. The smoke is still there but the green stuff does not fit in the profile for me. Still not bad though!
- My high expectations were not quite fulfilled. Definitely very good in terms of taste, but apart from a certain note, I still miss something in the mouthfeel. Atypical for me, I find the current Bruichladdich better, although I'm a total smoke fan.
A smoke of freshly lit campfire directly suggests, mixed with a nice creamy sweetness, cinnamon, candle wax, plum jam, chestnuts, some caramel, with long smells also full milk chocolate comes through, with bacon bits, intense without a trace of an unpleasant alcohol
Wow, intense, very sweet, creamy, dry smoke, spicy with cinnamon, sulfur, plum jam, chocolate, more white chocolate, so slightly buttery
the smoke is more prominent, cinnamon, some fruit, medium long
