Whisky Reviews for Girvan Batch 2 TBWC
3 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 87.00 points
- Price Rating: Starting from 300 euros
- Not the most complex and in between a little restrained - but not a single malt !!!
With a few drops of water, the aromas are better released.
Beautiful, strong grainy with cotton candy, truffle chocolate, Rumkugel, marzipan, sweet grain salt, gingerbread and dried fruit. The wood brings maturity, but does not seem too powerful.
Mild and slightly tingling, with a medium-heavy body. Here the flavors of the nose are reflected again. It adds a portion of wood, which brings volume and does not dominate. No burning, although a few drops of water do not hurt him either.
Malty sweet and at times slightly bitter, medium in length and slightly acidic.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Treacle tart, warm cinnamon buns with vanilla & toffee ice cream. A
good waft of perfumed oak, alongside a touch of forest floor.
Palate: Maple syrup and waxy orange peel. American-style French toast, dark chocolate truffle and a very light hint of bonfire embers.
Finish: Long and rather refreshing with juicy honeydew melon lasting on the finish.
