[September, 2017]  I bought this bottle upon recommendation for 76,50 Euro.

The colour is pale gold and the texture shows fast legs and later tears.  The nose is very cheesy and feinty - something I do not really like.  But it is somehow funny as the cheese is not from old gym socks but rather from a dairy factory (if you have not been to one go for it as this is a must have experience).  I guess some might like this nose.  The mouthfeel is warming but not very much coating.  The cheesy flavours continue on the palate all through to the finish and they are bearable (but not enjoyable for me).  Water releases rather some bitter notes and does not improve the cheesiness so I like it better when neat.

I never was a fan of Inchmurrin and this release did not change that.  But cheese lovers will adore it (I myself prefer cheese on a plate and not in a glass)...

My notes say only "No. Just no." If memory serves right, it's because this one was about 100% on the distillate, and the distillate is a coagulation of woodcraft aromas (sawdust and warm sawblades) with a new make-like side to it. Not at all a style I prefer. In truth this one's hard to score. Next to better whisky you might easily give it even less points.

What a weird note of salted cheese crackers ...
