- A complex dram. Lovely spices. Intense salted toffee on the nose, but there's a herbal quality to it as well. Perfumy. The palate has those typical Glenfarclas coughsweets, to me it is the equilibrium between 'farclas spirit and good casks. Dutch folk will know: Haagse Hopjes. The finish is long, warming, with cinnamon and chai latte. Hints of eucalyptus. What a wonderful winter dram. The oily texture is a bonus. Perfect strength, just one teaspoon of water added.
- An absolute top whisky
Nose: sherry, sweet, full, dark fruit, not alcoholic.
Flavor: sweet, prunes, chocolate
Finish: light oak flavor, long-lasting milk chocolate and again the prune
- Nutty on the nose, great peppery sherry notes in the mouth and a great long finish.
- Nose: Intense, rich, sweet sherry. Ripe cherries, dates, milk chocolate and toffee. Exceptionally beautiful. Flavor: A waxy mouthfeel, oil-like. A slight spiciness of the wood but especially sherry notes of dried fruit (raisins, dates) and ripe dark cherries. A slight bitterness that tends to coffee. Finish: Nice long aftertaste, soft mouthfeel. Again, cherries and dried fruit with a slightly bitter edge of coffee.
