  1. ColdAesthetics scored this whisky 70 points Connoisseur

So sweet as my poster, I find him not, just bitter and cheap, too bad.
    • Nose
Reminds me of a spiced rum liqueur, maggi, caraway, Werter's original, dusty wood, cheaper oldschool brandy, baked apple
    • Taste
Also here rum liqueur, very dusty in the mouth, pepper, dusty young oak, dark chocolate, grape seeds, bah
    • Finish
      Short, bitter, boring

  2. Marko_I did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

Taste is already there a lot in it, if you like the sweet, you are very well served for 18 €. There should be a lot of corn in it and the allowance allowed by the Canadians of "Flavoring" seems to have been exhausted, whichever.
    • Nose
when pouring a short approach of! Maggi !, then heavy sweet (for 40% very intense), almost liqueur, sugar beet syrup, Storck giants, dried fruit in whiskey, dusty, dry old wood, a little brandy
    • Taste
very sweet, some pepper, caramel, chocolate, beans, pecan nuts, maple syrup (or is that Canada fancy?)
    • Finish
      medium long, bittersweet, some pepper

      Fruity, herbs, spices, oak, raisins
    • Taste
      87 87
Rye spice, herbs, light vanilla, tart fruit notes, oak, sweet
    • Finish
      84 84
Short to medium length with herbs, oak and mint

Super PLV, absolute recommendation for the price

From the Label: A unique blend aged in three select barrels -new oak, bourbon and Canadian whisky- resulting in a taste that is both smooth and bold.
    • Nose
      84 84
Definitely sweet nose with maple syrup, walnuts, vanilla and rum raisins. There's a pungent alcohol note behind all of this, so it smells a bit cheap overall.
    • Taste
      82 82
Also here quite sweet with a lot of vanilla. The whiskey has a smooth mouthfeel, but all in all the taste is very one-dimensional.
    • Finish
      80 80
The glue note from the Ex-BC barrel can be found in the short to medium-long finish.

By chance I came across this Canadian in the local Alko. The price performance is correct with this bottling - but is not recommended for a rookie!
    • Nose
      81 81
dried hay, porridge with forest honey, vanilla syrup, orange zest, oak cabinet wall
    • Taste
      69 69
    • Finish
      74 74
      medium length, spicy and peppery
