I always had that on the radar. Rob had named him "Whisky of the Year".
I have to say, he has never disappointed me.
    Also bunkered several bottles.

The sherry should become dominant on the nose. Is he. The full program from plum to raisin everything. But Brennerei shimmers slightly malty and connects everything together. Well done. Even the alcohol knows its limits. Sweet and sour take turns. As is often the case with such bottlings, chocolate and caramel are not forgotten. Fine!

He has plenty of power and spice. But pleasant and not too intrusive. For lovers of bittersweet chocolate a pleasure. You want to try that again and again. Caution is advised!

The finale is wonderfully medium to long and finely tuned. No dryness and no bitter end. Everything flatters chocolaty and sweet.
You do not want to stop anymore.
      Dangerously tasty.

Nose-nice. Lots of spices. Some cereal and maltiness. Not super strong, but pleasant enough.

Taste-starts off nice. The bourbon speaks more than the sherry, but it is tasty to start.

Finish-turns bitter and weird. Sour grapefruit. Funky distillate?

Not my cup of tea, but some may find this enjoyable.  Certainly glad I only did a sample, as the full bottle goes for $295 cdn locally.

A very strange one, but very good craftsmanship!
    • Nose
A bit strange at the first glance. Smells a bit like milk and nut cake. A bit pepper, raisins, apple. Sourdough bread.
    • Taste
A very unique taste, buttermilk. Mild honey herbs, not that sweet. A soft taste, but not weak. A hint of cognac.
    • Finish
Dark oak, strong raw chocolate and coffee. Bitter in a nice way. Salty and mouthwatering, however, a bit dry afterwards.
