  1. dramspotter scored this whisky 73 points Connoisseur

    blind tasting
    • Nose
      meaty, coastal
    • Taste
      pleasant complexity
    • Finish
      short->medium; a bit sharp

  2. Dre73 scored this whisky 85 points Connoisseur

A nice blend, rich sherry tones in the nose and taste, very pleasant.

A very nice nose, fruity and spicy. Clearly the sherrycask influences. Honey, toffee, chocolate, coffee/cappuccino, some vanilla. Pretty rich.
    • Taste
      85 85
Pungent, the sherrycask notes again, bitter (pure) chocolate, some oranges, honey, rubber, cinnamon. A little dry mouthfeel.
    • Finish
      85 85
Still steady, a little pungent, coffee and toffee, pure bitter chocolate, oranges. Not very long but tastful.

  3. ColdAesthetics scored this whisky 85 points Connoisseur

A very potent blend, no wonder with the 4 malts that are apparently in it (HP, Rothes, Tamdhu and Bunna). Could I drink more often, the price is of course not low for a blend with 8 years.
    • Nose
Very nice nose for a blend, fresh sherry, lots of honey, beautiful heather (the HP probably), red apple, toffee, vanilla, slight Reifengumminoten, but nothing bad
    • Taste
Again pleasantly fresh sherry with red apple and orange peel, but here comes more quickly the touch of sulfur and rubber tires, but I like this filthy undertone yes, cinnamon, some herbal honey and heather on the kokeln, the second sip you think the Bunna to recognize with autumn leaves and something concrete peat far behind
    • Finish
Heather, apple peel, dry malt and some of the rubber tires, but delicious and medium in length

  4. dram-drinker scored this whisky 83 points Moderator

Fresh sherry nose (modern style), rubber, hints of smoke but also touch of sulphur - it is a sherried Glenrothes and a peated Bunna

  5. st7 scored this whisky 83 points Connoisseur

A blend of Highland Park, Glenrothes, Bunnahabhain and Tamdhu
