People who know about whiskey, are well aware that this could not have been made in Midleton, as Midleton simply never produced malt whiskey.
As this is a triple distilled single malt aged 18 years, this can only be Bushmills whiskey.
So much for all these self-proclaimed experts around here...

    Color gold
    Viscosity: Aqueous
    Dram: undiluted

    Conclusion:
A wonderfully complex and extremely balanced single malt from Ireland. Significantly more complex and multi-layered than the 14er and therefore worth every penny more. Personally, it's almost ironed a little too flat for me. The individual types of cask can practically not be tasted and it is an overall composition, a real flatterer. However, I miss the rough edges, but it certainly depends on my daily form. Still a beautiful malt that doesn't have to hide from the Bushmills 21.

    My rating system:
    100-95: Exceptional whiskeys
    80-94: Top Whiskeys
    50-79: standard whiskey
    0-49: flops
    • Nose
A really nice fruity note flows towards you first. I would rather describe it as a really ripe green apple, accompanied by a really nice note of wood, of cinnamon, nutmeg, sawdust in a carpenter's workshop, plus sweet notes of intense forest honey, bitter orange jam, plus grassy and floral notes of freshly mown lawn, cucumber salad in the Background, creme brulee, apricots, peaches, guava, papaya, gooseberries, currants, unripe grapes, freshly grated orange peel, baked apple at the fair, sweet cherry jam, Holstein plum jam, clove pepper, lemon zest
    • Taste
The tongue is first covered with sweet notes such as freshly cooked vanilla pudding, creme brûlée, cotton candy, brown sugar, as well as slightly grassy notes with a citrus aroma, such as lemongrass, dandelion salad, light bitter moments after burnt caramel, light mocha moments, espresso, tropical fruits after ripe grapes , Papaya, passion fruit, overripe anannas, sweet cherry jam, slightly leathery moments, dried tobacco leaves, spicy gingerbread, cinnamon rolls, very light Holstein plum jam, really nice and creamy mouthfeel, you can't feel any alcohol and is super built-in, almost like a liqueur, Harribo liquorice snails
    • Finish
The finish is long, very fruity at first, then becoming more and more bitter and a clear wood influence, lightly burnt caramel, mocha, espresso and is then replaced again by the fruity light fruits, liquorice snails, cinnamon sticks
