  2. Torfding scored this whisky 86 points Expert Senior

A few weeks in the already begun and somewhat emptied bottle do this laddie quite well, but after a few months (here about four) and with increasingly lower level changed to my liking too much for the worse.
    • Nose
ripe grapes, sweet cherries (if the whisky is "smoked" after a long life), the rather less artificial schnapps note, schnapps cherries and chocolates), raisins and other dark and dry as well as candied fruits, hazelnuts and nougat will change a lot of vanilla and a hint of sherry, later a dirty marzipan note is added
    • Taste
thick and sweet, but also (especially at first) strong and pungent (but rather teasing, not vicious), chocolate, spice, sherry and dried fruit
    • Finish
a departure of staggering length, sometimes very long, especially after a longer life but rather short to medium length; Spices and some gingerbread, hot, will be slightly bitter in a pleasant way and later oaky, maybe even sprightly

From the little snifter with a shot of water.
Nose: grape seeds, raisins, vanilla, later candied hands and hazelnuts
Taste: Sweet, strong onset that is becoming increasingly chocolatier. Nutmeg.
Finish : Spices bring the tongue to glow. Some bitter oak remains. Mr. Chocolate. Raisins are still stuck in the cheek pouches. Medium long.
Conclusion: Oh yes, I like it. I go with the 87 points.
