  1. peatbogger scored this whisky 84 points Specialist

Tasted at a TBWC session at Jekyll's Oslo.
Surprisingly round and easy for a 3YO.

      Very pleasant nose.
      Wood, fruit, vanilla.
      Fresh orange.
    • Taste
      83 83
      Rounded and gentle.
      Sweet chocolate.
      Rather dry.
    • Finish
      84 84
      Sweet bourbon.

  2. Corso_theRed scored this whisky 84 points Expert Senior

A young albeit very pleasant malt whisky. Not too complex, but at this age the good quality cask speaks the loudest.
    • Nose
Lots of vanilla, coconut and faint varnish. Associations of sour, resinous oak that recedes slightly with the addition of water.
    • Taste
Strong arrival of perfumed oak, cola, and caramel.
    • Finish
Medium-long. Caramel pudding and spicy oak coats the entire mouth.

N: Toffee apples, candy drops, marshmallows, coconut,... Water adds a cheese/farm note, creamy liqueurs, malolactic (Chardonnay) notes - James hands me yet another [scientific] gem of knowledge.
T: Wowee, this is big on the confectionary side with liquorice, aniseed, more marshmallows,....
F: Impressively sophisticated for its age, and with some complexity, balance and poise. Keeps on going with the confectionary.
C: Amazingly together considering its 'barely' a whisky. Eyes on Slyrs if they weren't already.Scores a C+

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Vanilla custard, Mr. Kipling's Bramley Apple Pies, stewed plums and some dried hay.Palate: Fragrant barley, crème brûlée, oat biscuits, lemongrass and some Sichuan pepper.Finish: Cinnamon and ginger, with a little stone fruit sweetness right at the end.
