    It was wonderful. Enthusiasm 5/5 Whisky n ° 1405
    • Nose
      Peat that evokes in the first place the stable (!) Of softness, not aggressive. Herbs of Provence appear and rise in power. It is more honeyed, caressing, almost creamy. Maritime, it evokes Campbeltown with its combination of smoke and fresh fruit.
    • Taste
      Fluid and delicate, on malt and lemon (a little), it is caressing and is more than its age!
    • Finish
      Sweet spices and pepper. Some minerality. Delicate smoke. Caressing and very long! And even a hint of exotic fruit makes a fleeting passage!

    A magnificent Laphroaig. Really. The aromas are remarkably precise, the balance is perfect between the austere notes and the fruity / sweet notes. It is a complex but very readable whisky with different levels of reading. Whichever one you choose, you will be fulfilled.
    • Nose
      enchanting. We have here a festival of aromas. The aromatic herbs explode on the nose, with thyme, oregano, rosemary, and fresher notes like mint, licorice and eucalyptus that match best with sweet lemony scents. . There are also special notes of balsamic vinegar and even chorizo. The maritime side is also part with salty spray and seaweed and then, of course, the brand laphroaigienne imposes its lot of camphor, antiseptic and iodine. All this is coated with a lemony smoke of the most beautiful effect. A vegetal, mineral, smoky nose, with an ounce of austerity full of character.
    • Taste
      powerful. Here we have a rather austere Laphroaig by the extent of the aromatic palette but expressive by the precision and intensity of its aromas. The texture is quite oily, the smoke is fine. We can hear notes of kipper, smoked salmon delicately raised with dill, mint and lemon. The ashes accentuate the austerity of the dram. There are some notes of white and exotic fruits in the background, sprinkled with vanilla, dark chocolate, pepper and almond powder.
    • Finish
      endless notes of aromatic herbs, ashes, smoke. It's rich, complex and yet so legible. This smoke is so delicate, so classy that we would like it to last a long time. Fortunately, our wish is granted!

    **** them. Some friends said this baby was the best Scotch whisky of
    Whisky Live Paris 2016. **** them! Good, I used to agree, but I only
    tried it ‘casually’, until today. Time to get more official. ******
    ****! Colour: straw. Nose: some kind of Nepalese specialty. Butter and
    smoked and burnt herbs, plus lemongrass and burning coal. Plus geranium
    flowers. Oh *** ***! With water: I mean, ****! Eucalyptus wood smoke, a
    night in Courchevel, and a day on Islay. I mean, on Islay, not just at
    the ******* distilleries. Mouth (neat): immaculate, pristine, chiselled
    by Michelangelo himself, peaty/smoky/salty Laphroaigness. This is
    Laphroaig for ******* purists. Count me in. With water: when almonds
    come in, we’re up for a treat. One of the best kind-of-recent *******
    Laphroaigs I could try. Finish: lace and whisky. Hold on, wasn’t that an
    Alice Cooper LP? And one of the badder ones? Comments: I’ve heard that
    they’ve hired staff from Patek Philiipe to distil and mature this. No,
    seriously, I’ve seen that on Weibo, so must be true. Oh **** them all. SGP:357 - 92 points.

    Wax, butter, vegetable oil, toasted bread, honey, lollipops, sweet lemonade, grape jam, figs, green apple, fallen leaves, dill, nettle, nutmeg, burning wood, smoke, bandage, machine oil.

    The medicinal peat of Laphroaig is clear, with hospital bandages and ashes, the alcohol is well integrated. The powerful and peaty mouth has a very small tip of violet very pleasant. Long finish on the ash and the coal. This one leaves no doubt on its origin. A very good Laphroaig.

    Excellent. A nose a little further back but an explosive mouth and very Laphroaig.
    • Nose
      Nose rather fine, on a light peat, a little medicinal, slightly sweet and iodized. I join a friend who spoke of a perfume of hospital bandages.
    • Taste
      Much more expressive than the nose, with a creamy texture, not too sweet and well integrated alcohol. We find a good peat, medicinal notes, a little iodine, notes of gentian, always this side plaster / mercurochrome, but if I assure you, it's very good ...
    • Finish
      Long, medicinal, on dark chocolate, pepper.

    pale gold color, expressive nose, very peaty and medicinal, well vanilla, lemony, salty and mineral, small menthol / vegetal tip in the background. Palate with a good size, perfectly integrated alcohol, still very peaty and very medicinal, always vanilla, lemon, some almonds, mineral background, but a slightly sweet tip at the end of the mouth prevents it from being really austere. Final very long, salty, peppery now.
