The aroma at the beginning is quite restrained, the sherry cut is super thin, delicate. This whiskey with a bunch of nuances. An interesting plot that makes it difficult to read the original distilleries. A great sample for tasting, you want to stay longer. And it drinks fine.
    • Nose
Fruity, chocolate, a bunch of dust, floral notes, mangoes, dried fruits, salty notes, quince, barely perceptible at the beginning of the farm theme over time significantly (reminiscent of Springbank profile), raspberry bushes, barely perceptible smoke, varnish, green tea, pear jam, chalk, raisins, raisins, iodine, tobacco leaves, dried mushrooms, smoked sausages.
    • Taste
Honey, lemon, salty, chalk, mineral, dried fruits, raisins, barely palpable flesh.
    • Finish
Candy in the beginning, a little bit of pepper, mineral, farm notes, lemon in sugar, green tea, salty-iodine, chocolate, long-lasting.

  3. Calmar scored this whisky 89 points Connoisseur

Good mellow, I do not know how much it is sustained, but the result is very pleasing - the perfect combination of the basis (the basics of what is meant here is not to guess, but without Alya it was not, obviously) with a sherry barrel, very gently and unobtrusively, perfectly balanced; the most interesting here, probably, finish, very diverse and deep, although the taste and aroma are also interesting and good.
    • Nose
Open, dry, polished wood, light smoke, raisins, raisin water, old leather goods, varnish, dusty dried fruits, dust, dry earth notes.
    • Taste
Tight, oily, raisin-oak, burned matches, creamy sweetness, boiled condensed milk, raisins, dried fruits, fried nuts, peat.
    • Finish
Soft, sweet with light sour, oily, raisins, nuts, toffee, fondant, boiled condensed milk, a few burnt biscuits and mushrooms, light oak bitterness, orange peel, tangerines, soft peat hues.

Subdued, but given time, it reveals itself
    • Nose
      88 88
Chocolate, tea, camphor, raisins, nutty, wet leaves
    • Taste
      90 90
Chocolate mint, mild coffee, hazelnut, salty, sweet spices, minerals, slight waxy
    • Finish
      90 90
Dash of pepper, mouth coating oiliness, creamy chocolate, some tea

The blended malt certainly contains a lot of old malt, but also young ingredients are to be guessed, especially in the taste. I was surprised by the very fine smoky note. Interestingly tuned.
    • Nose
old, sweet sherry notes, marzipan potatoes, ripe oranges, grapefruit, lemon peel, sun-dried earth, spice-speculoos, molasses, candy sugar, Storck giants, later it has something of a musty cellar and a distant minimal trace of smoke
    • Taste
initially mild, hazelnuts, caramel, creamy, but no longer as old as in the nose, spicy and the trace of smoke remains perceptible but in the background
    • Finish
medium-length, cappuccino, leaves a spicy impression on the cheeks, the subtle smoke is noticeable again, followed by some dried fruit

    Nose:
Dried apricots, figs, raisins, tobacco, prunes, shoe polish, coffee, black currants in the background. Dense, harmonious, elegant old-style sherry.
    Mouth:
Elegant. Fine sweetness, tobacco, figs, raisins, smoky, nutty. Very harmonious, creamy, charming. Then toffee.

    finish:
Raisins, red berries, fine smoke, tobacco, prunes, dark chocolate,; intense, medium long.

    Conclusion:
Class bottling at a fair price and a beautifully matured, rounded treats without corners and edges!
