Light gold pour. Nose is grains, some ripe peaches, and peat. A bit more peat than I'd prefer but a nice combination. Mouth is lots of peach syrup and grain alcohol, with some dry diesel oil and tool shed on the finish. Really nice, actually. Thicker than a lot of Indies from this period. A bit darker of a character too, and maybe a bit more alcohol heat. Nice.

I see many high 90+ votes here for this bottle (hello again, German friends!) but nobody who took the time to write something about it. That already raises some suspicion to me. When a Whisky is scored 90+ on average, I expect to read some tasting notes of at least a few experienced drinkers.

I paid 150€ for the Teeling 21 years old and I scored that one 89 points. This one is 24 years old (that's merely 3 years older) and it costs 250€ or more. To me, there isn't really a big step up when it comes to the quality. It has the tropical fruits that Teeling is well known for but not abundantly and I'm also missing some complexity in this dram. Therefore, I can only conclude that this bottling isn't worth paying 250€ or more for. I would definitely buy another Teeling 21y again instead of this one.
