Not bad but I wished Jim McEwan would have chosen a better cask for the special event of Feis Ile 2009 instead of trying to get rid of some older stuff. I am thinking about a whisky that attracts people to Bruichladdich and is an indication of what can be expected in the near future ... for example a Port Charlotte similar to the Malts of Scotland ;)
Mellow. The first impression includes malt, limes and plastic. Then there is wet grass, yeast and bread. Quite nice if you forget about the plastic.
Warming. Malty, liquorice as well as some lime zest.
Medium long and malty. Becoming dryer and dryer with an unpleasant aftertaste.
