The high alcohol content of 54.9% is very well integrated. At first I do not notice any chilling, stinging or burning in my nose. Heavy Sherrynoten in combination with a subtle campfire smoke note are immediately present. A potpourri of a variety of dark fruits forms the aromatic skeleton. Blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, figs and cherries caress my nasal tip. Juicy oranges, caramel, strong pipe tobacco, dark chocolate, leather, spicy oak and maritime notes (salt) make for an exciting, varied and complex nose.

Very oily and velvety soft on the palate. The high alcohol content allows a powerful and full-bodied aroma transport. After about 15-20 seconds a slight astringent effect on the palate is already noticeable. A light sweetness (caramel sweets) caresses my tongue tip at the beginning, before it gets increasingly bitter. The intense, dark sherry flavors wrap themselves in a small campfire on the beach. Also in the taste the dark forest berries are to be found of high intensity. The heavy sherry notes with plenty of leather, walnuts, oak spice, pipe tobacco and dark chocolate are gaining dominance while a small campfire continues to glow in the background. The multi-layered and balanced impression of nosing continues seamlessly here.

Long and warm. Sweet caramel, dark fruits, salt and light smoke start the harmonious finish. Spicy oak notes push themselves after some time more in the foreground and leave tender chocolate flavors and a noticeable dryness on the palate. The beautiful smoke will always be present in the background.
