Nice mouthfeel, creamy and sweet, no need for water on this one, perfect balance.

Nose

Nose

Malt, sweetness from pears and a fresh note to it (but it's not fresh). Some note of the oak barrel, can't put my hand on it. (Beginner note)

Taste

Malty, sweet pear, nutmegg to the end becoming louder with time

Finish

Medium: malty, pear, initial nutmegg that goes away quite fast

Comments

Release at 120€ was indeed a very honest price

Good matured speysider, for a reasonable price.

Nose: almonds, ginger, freshly baked bread with a little honey, vanilla and citrus.

Taste: ripe pears and honey, nutty and grainy.

Finish: honeyed breakfast cereal, ripe white fruits, malty with a very mild bitter note. Could perhaps have been a little more prolongued considering the time of maturation.

I would not have given this 27/28 years, tastes at least 10 years younger. Still a very nice whisky, especially the well integrated grainy notes.
