    Actually very drinkable and enjoyable
    • Nose
      88 88
Rather reluctant peat and smoke - reminds me on Caol Ila
    • Taste
      89 89
Fine peat and smoke, subtle sweetness, little lemony
    • Finish
      90 90
      Medium long, warm, balanced

  3. Kantenmechaniker scored this whisky 86 points Connoisseur

Rarely had such a vanilla bomb, as expected heavy smoke. A great combo that is fun.
    • Nose
      86 86
What a clear intense smoke, sweet, slightly sour yellow fruit, vanilla, a classic smoker from ex-bourbon barrels, alcohol well integrated, light spice, a breeze of cinnamon, with time, the smoke is greasy, slightly salty, somehow smoldering, one has the feeling that the glass would burn
    • Taste
      87 87
full-bodied, intense, the same picture as in the nose, totally sweet, clear vanilla, fierce smoke, yellow fruit, some cinnamon, which is then even stronger, even here, the high alcohol content is not due to unpleasant sharpness
    • Finish
      85 85
behind hack, the smoke lays dry over everything, vanilla bomb, lingers long and warm

  4. Mannix65 scored this whisky 83 points Connoisseur

Young, wild, impetuous, full on the 10 - unfortunately little draft
    • Nose
Heavy smoke with both campfire and light medical touch, acetic acid, cucumber, unripe gooseberry - in some way "unfinished" in the nose
    • Taste
the medicinal smoke component topples the campfire, again the "green" notes of unripe fruits, green apples and gooseberries - actually the nose is confirmed in the mouth - metallic, but also very sweet
    • Finish
      lang, rauchig, scharf, süß

Compared to the very first batch, that sweet Bowmore touch from the nose is gone. Apart from that, they managed to keep the profile very alike. Some of the whisky in there was perhaps a bit too young, but it's still very enjoyable. 85/86.
    • Nose
Peat, apple, vanilla, pastry, fig, peach and minerals.
    • Taste
Peat, apple, pepper, nutmeg and something schnapps-y.
    • Finish
Peat, white bread, apple and pepper.

  10. Marko_I did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

Beautiful, young CS smoker, tasty and strong, but not better or worse than this or that single cask - so the high art of dazzling does not scream against me now, but that with all Islay malts and name and design are beautiful Gags, there are 55 € OK, especially as a gift, for me, but I would rather take a Classic of Islay for 45 €.
    • Nose
fresh, very spicy, salt, greens, caper water (that would probably be the peat component, so smoky I do not think that), with a little water and time comes to light, creamy sweetness - the usual: vanilla, white chocolate, cereals / cornflakes ... after a while I have a really nice cool fresh-green note with a deep breath, like fresh sliced cucumber with lime and some menthol
    • Taste
Fat on your mouth: ashes, tar, black pepper, a whole lot of milk chocolate, coconut flakes
    • Finish
long and smoky, the milk chocolate and the pepper remain, even the greens from the nose sound bitter again
