Flavour profile: Young and spritely
Colour: Pharaoh’s crib
The nose struck us as fresh, crisp and pleasant – we got flower meadows, summer hedges, lemon sherbet, jam and a puppet-maker’s workshop. This continued with water – banana, pineapple, flying saucers, lemon and elderflower sorbet and maybe some raisiny dough – light, bright and zesty. The neat taste was sweet and sharp – Fruit Polos, Haribos, candy sticks, honey, fruit schnapps – and a little hint of nutmeg and cayenne heat. The reduced palate was tasty, enjoyable and pretty straightforward – a bit less heat – sweet, fruity, juicy and mouth-watering, with lemon and lime zest and fizz and some fruit and oat cereal bars.
Drinking tip: An early evening pick-me-up
