    • Nose
At first a little closed, soft. Malt motifs, wood dust, freshly sawn board, vanilla notes, green apple, sweet pastries, marinade, formic acid. 22
    • Taste
Moderate, moderately sweet. Black pepper, fruit caramel, water with sugar, wood tannins, herbal and alcoholic bitterness. 19
    • Finish
Medium in length, wood tannins dominate, alcoholic bitterness, a little menthol is added at the end. 20
Pleasant, uncomplicated, strong whisky. Balance 21

The first smell that came to mind was play-doh--needless to say, it was not that enticing. The taste provides hints of licorice and mint that helps overcome the initial doughy experience, but falls flat very quickly.

Bought this malt at the distillery, which by the way is a beautiful distillery and a really good tour. I think i paid £40 for a litre bottle which is a bargin. The malt itself is nice but i have tasted a lot better.

    A nice average malt
    • Nose
A fruity nose with vanilla and a little hint of mint.
    • Taste
The taste is lemon fresh with a hint of lime and for some strange reason turnips.
    • Finish
      A medium lemony finish

A bit harsh at first nip but once it's gone down it starts mellowing out. Not a winner but not bad either.
