Gigantic. Only something for lovers rather tart, kräutriger whisky, but .... gigantic. 90 points.
    • Nose
First, you bounce against a sherry wall. Gigantic. Mercilessly. Locked. Dry. A crushing sherry aroma with plenty of furniture polish and rubber. It takes a while for the wall to loosen up and break it down into pieces. Rubber is always there. Dark fruits - plums (Mus), figs, raisins. Cooked and thick. Cinnamon pastry. Madness! So incredibly intense, without being alcoholic. At almost 60%. That's exactly what I want: Sherry influence ad absurdum. There are herbs. Lovage, Riccola sweets, rosemary and more. Water : Water keeps opening your nose. A delicate sweetness comes to it, gum goes back a bit and makes even more room for deep dark fruit and the herbs.
    • Taste
An explosion in the mouth. As a bite into a freshly baked, still hot plum and cinnamon snail. The hot boiled plums, the roasted aromas of the fresh pastry. Who the hell was putting herbs in here? The Nachschmecken is dominated by the herbs. Of the fruits remains the plum. Coffee spreads in the mouth. Water : Now the palate is a little sweeter and less tart. Alcoholic, it is not undiluted. So you can experiment with water, but you do not have to. If you like it harsh, you can leave it at your fingertips.
    • Finish
Long, fruity, kräutrig, rather dry. For many minutes after swallowing, the kräutrige plum and some rubber with the tongue as the mouth cavities can be lured. The alcohol content also ensures a warm throat. Warm, aromatic, gigantic.

An amazing whisky. A complex aroma in the nose and a sensible taste. However, the alcohol should be considered with caution, since he is quite aggressive at the back. Definitely an interesting drop.
    • Nose
Strong alcohol at the beginning. It is followed by vanilla, honey and a dusty note. Later Christmas spices, spearmint, toast. After a long time in the glass still smoked ham and soy sauce.
    • Taste
Chocolate, dark fruits, MonCherie cherry. The alcohol starts amazingly soft, but then builds up massive pressure.
    • Finish
In the medium-long finish is still toasted bread, shoe polish and cherries again.

Interesting nose and taste, quite grotesque. The nose is the best part. It will be a divisive one. 88/89.
    • Nose
Phosphorous sherry, herbals, prune, raisin, oak and gum.
    • Taste
Powerful. Lemon peel, forest fruits, plum chutney, coffee, herbals and anise.
    • Finish
      Long, spicy, bittersweet.

  5. KayMeertens scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

    • Nose
Raisin, dried goji berry, plum, caramel, cherry and herbs. Some peach when adding water.
    • Taste
Dark chocolate, cranberry, plum, caramel, cherry, hazelnut and spice. Can't handle water very well, it needs its full strength.
    • Finish
      Cocoa, plum, caramel and raisin.

  6. Kumachan scored this whisky 88 points Expert Junior

An extraordinary and promising nose, but who am not. Lack of length and lack of density It's good, very good but it lacks this spark. Tasted on Pink Floyd "Learn to fly" If it were necessary to sound a subjective note, it would be a 88.
    • Nose
Brown mahogany dress, many fine and heavy tears. Well, it's called a "Sherry Bomb" The nut immediately jumps from the glass, the candied red fruits, the dried fig, the dried apricot, the raisin, the prune. It's also pastry, almond paste, Baklawa Lebanese! A spice market such as cinnamon, muscena, camphor, old tanned leather. An old Sauternes, orange marmalade. The cedar spines come to the thunder of Freshness. What a nose! Infinite and complex. Never offended once with alcohol once integrated.
    • Taste
The mouth is hot. Ample and sweet, it is round maize dry, fruity but vegetal; dried fruits, grapes and figs, ripe banana, nuts, nutmeg. Still this leather that gives volume. Dry apricot and orange jam. Goes off on licorice, bitter cocoa. Over time it gets better and better!
    • Finish
The finish is rather long on musk and bitter cocoa.
