    Nose: dry, initially slightly alcoholic, sweet cherries with coffee, chocolate, menthol, herbaceous oak, vanilla Taste: Immediately sweet - sour cherry jam with strong oak, plums with cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ginger, pepper, warming, non-alcoholic, syrupy-oily texture, dark chocolate, fresh acidity, tart oak notes hazelnuts, slightly dry, quite a long finish
    Conclusion: He tastes a little different than the standard 12 year old, but not better. This one is almost as round as the 12er - with considerably more alcohol, but neither taste nor alcohol strength justify the price for me.

      Nose:
      The first nose seems very fresh to me. Then comes a chemical note. Plastic and moldy water. Definitely no sherry bomb. I'll leave ma ...
      Now it gets sweeter. Sweetener, cherries, sour raspberries and some nougat. An artificial, acidic component becomes more and more obvious. I know the smell. Wet leather shoe in conjunction with children's juice. It sounds funny, but that's the way it is. : D
    • Taste
      Spicy start with pleasant bitterness. Lime and sparkling dark beer. If you let the colleague work, more kirsch and nougat with some hazelnut will be added. I also find this artificial, effective note in the taste. The second sip clearly mineral. Moist soil, some pepper and lime dust. Now comes more apricot jelly and a little peach. Becomes lighter-colored.

      Rather long. Spicy bitterness. In addition a little cold espresso and sweetener. At the end it will be nice berry.

    Nose: full and fruity, the cask strength is well integrated and the nose loses for me with water almost something, pickled cherries
    Taste: incredibly sweet without water, with water much more open and fruity, similar to the nose, but with a lot of spice
    Finish: Spicy peppery finish, the pickled cherries from the nose appear again
    Conclusion: Was a delicious Dram and the price is now almost clear, but I'm still not sure if you have to spend 90 euros for a 13er / soll / want.

    N: First, there is some alcohol in the nose, everything is very closed, it smells a bit like a wild meadow. In addition a lot of herbs. I'm confused. If you give it a lot of time and a little water, away fruity sweetness, which I can not describe more accurately.
    T: First come the herbs then it gets spicy. Everything very tight and tightly woven. Hmm, there is not more. With water, it is a bit more accessible, In addition to the now milder herbs are now also dark fruits to light and a little sweet flavors. In addition, a little vanilla. Everything is very spicy
    Q: The fruits fade very fast and it gets a bit bitter and bitter. But not uncomfortable. Without water, a little marzipan comes before the bitter / bitter note described above.

    --- BLIND TASTING ---

    Nose: vanilla, sweet, herbaceous, oak, some pepper

    Palate: Powerful start but absolutely no "burn", warms the neck, pulls the mouth together neatly. Yes, he is a bit bitter on the palate, so probably not really young, neat oak. Spices, again the pepper I already had in the nose, nuts, Lebkucken, and burnt caramel.

    Finish: medium to long, caramel in the background, bitter oak is always there - but very consistent the whole! I like it.

    Conclusion: Works for me like a nearly perfectly matured ex-bourbon whisky. I estimate it to be 20 years and he will probably have around 50% vol. Sherry Finish ?? Hmm ... the lack of fruit component and the distinctly sweet taste and caramel / vanilla aromas make me rather close to 100% bourbon.

    Conclusion 2.0: Sherry I had not expected so blind here and Glendronach not synonymous. Although PX explains the sweetness and the lack of fruit, but still unexpected ....

    Not a typical GD Sherry representative, but still a good whisky!
