Blended/Vatted Malts, 13 tasted, H2H, for what it is worth the 1979 Berry's although listed as a blend on the label, I am not alone in thinking it is actually really a vatted malt.

A fresh nose, on plum, gooseberry and a little apple is followed on the palate by more fruit and some very nice spice at first.
The fruit is mixed with syrup, and hints of orange marmalade then appear, simple profile but it works.
Finish, again is fruity and more spice kick in the tail.
This is a good whisky, better than I was expecting.

That little bit of funkiness makes it interesting, just strong enough on the palate.

Smoke from the fireplace with a hint of old man's sweat in the leather armchair in front of it.
Spicy flower aromas, intense aromas of honey and quince jelly. Very appetizing!

Light, with a slightly thin-looking consistency at first.
A bigger sip can help, it becomes much more firm and spicy.
Fruit is more of a minor matter, but a nice resinous note and somewhat fleshy flower aromas dominate.

Rather short, a few tannins and old citrus fruits come along. But not much happens.

Very interesting and complex aromas in the smell. A variety of different aromas in the taste, too, but with a slightly artificial sweetness. Pleasant, medium-long finish.

Tasting notes from an online tasting with 16 participants
what a wonderful, exotic fruit nose paired with vanilla tones
a dream nose reminiscent of old times
    smells of citrus fruits
dark cherry, raspberry, some cardamom and clove
    Brazil nut
Bell pepper in the nose and cherry in the mouth
with a dwell time of up to 10 seconds in the mouth, beautiful spicy notes dance together,
I can't find the nose in the taste
Is everything right with the many elements. But I like it more straightforward
    Taste raisins in Christmas cake
I find it very full-bodied and just a little bit of banana has appeared

In parts, this has the same foundation as Monkey Shoulder (Glenfiddich, Balvenie & Kininvie) and it also displays a similarly tart and acidic aspect at first.
This also has quite some power; I imagine it's why they chose to bottle this at a lower ABV.
After a while the other (and older) components kick in, as does the sherry influence. I detect a generous portion of Ben Nevis, whiff of peat included, and some nice oak tannins towards the death, which manage to round things off. Apparently there's some really old (30+) Macallan in here, but it has to vie for attention with the younger components.
Perhaps a slightly incongruous vatting, but I found myself gravitating towards it more often than expected, especially for an apéritif. A good spring/summer whisky with plenty of depth.
