Now to the whisky itself: On the nose it is very light, delicate, fresh, summery and almost fizzy. Although this is bottled at 50% the palate somehow has quite a watery feel to it. For those of you who like the mellow and subtle whisky’s this could be a great one for you. But if you, like me, are more into the more expressive and complex whisky’s than this is not your dram.
A light, fresh and sweet whisky with aromas of dry white wine, grains, grass, hay, butter, hint of fennel seeds, dried flowers, grapes, acacia honey, hint of licorice root, reserved lemon, hint of sea salt, kiwi, a very faint grapefruit note, orange blossoms, hint of bayleaf, hint of vanilla, candied ginger, yeast, malt and fresh oak sap.
A spicy, fresh and sweet whisky with aromas of pepper, green apple, papaya, unripe pears, fennel seeds, white wine vinegar, acacia honey, fennel, ginger, floral tones, grass, hay, butter, fizzy, subtle citrus, mango, yeast, hint of peach, bread, subtle mineral tones, vanilla sugar and a hint of oak.
A medium to short and sweet finish with aromas of honey, fennel seeds, pepper, vanilla, floral tones, apple and a hint of oak.
