This undisclosed Speyside can compete with the best Speyside Region 1973 expressions around. I would not surprised if this is also one of the famous Edrington base malts consisting of Macallan, HP and Tamdhu. For me these are the best whisky's that hit the market in the last few years. Courtesy from my Swiss friend Peter.
    • Nose
Lots of beehive, pollen, paraffin and honey for a start. Followed with all kinds of juicy tropical sweetness; mango, papaya, lychees, pineapple you name it. Gentle notes of orange peels, bananas and apricots. Some meadow flowers and vanilla cake with icing. Polished oak at the background. A nose to die for.
    • Taste
Again much fruity sweetness with a menthol edge. Plenty of fresh oranges and tangerines in combination with pears and overripe bananas. Delicate notes of lemon grass and old herbal liqueurs. Spices of aniseed and a little cinnamon. Butter biscuits. Hints of milk chocolate at the background. Needless to say it's all very waxy and delightful.
    • Finish
Long and endless! Drying oak and a little ginger. Quite perfect if you ask me.

Undoubtedly the malt of the month, rather the year ...

The nose is already screaming: AGE and RIP !!!

The taste puts it on top of it and tops the expectations,
by an explosion of overripe fruit cocktail in the mouth takes place.

    The finish is ENDLESS!
Long had not such a great and consistent whiskey in the glass!

Thanks, no matter where he came from.

What a fino dram - tropical fruits, herbs, honey, honey, honey...
    It's not a BenRiach 76, it's not a Caper 72 - it's both!
Absolutely on a par with the legendary Acla Bunna 73. Wow, well done.
