Inoffensive, easy drinking, but flat and uninspired.

Aromas: vanilla, apple / pear, finish: hazelnut, dry

  7. LDB scored this whisky 69 points Connoisseur

Hardly drinkable, and I am no malt snob.
This is light, fruity schnaps with a metallic touch, appalling whisky in other words.

tasty, fruity, easy to drink, a bit boring.
Certainly one of the cheapest single malts that is worth its price but not better than its price either.

      briefly and without particular impressions

Smell the fragrance: If there is a third apple that changes the world, it must be Grand Crown Whisky, because from the moment you twist the bottle cap, green, pink, red, and various apples will occupy the nasal cavity and the gaps A little silky grease, and naughty rainbow bubble gum, the breath is slightly dry, simple and fresh, like a handsome child who loves to express.

Rub your hands and smell the fragrance: bitter orange peel, rhizome medicinal materials, high-concentration cocoa, dry

Tasting: The taste is moist and lively, clear and firm, with concentrated aroma, low tannins and alcohol. The taste of lemongrass and bitter nuts in the mouth is very different from the smell, as if there is a miserable story behind the child.

Ending rhyme: medium length, sweetness brought by bitter nuts, apple, ending

Summary: Since the "Major" took over, the Grand Crown Distillery has been committed to producing fresher and sweeter whiskys. The "purifier" installed in the distillation machine by the "Major" has been retained and used today, which makes the taste lighter. At the same time, it retains the mellow and full richness, with clear green apples, rainbow bubble gum, and some bitter nuts in the flavor. It is very individual and polite. It is a wonderful choice for you to knock on the world of single malt whisky.

Nose: sweet, sponge cake soaked in vodka - very pleasant
    Color: bright gold
Taste: oily, initially alcoholic, but not biting, rather in the style of solid praline with liqueur. Alcoholism quickly turns into pleasant warmth, light sweetness, but the finish towards dryness. Light tone. Sometimes noticeable solvent note. In my opinion the best cheap Speyside!

Not complex, a typical entry-level malt with a nutty note. Simplest EveryDayDram.
    • Nose
      69 69
the first thing I got on my nose was something slightly nutty (hazelnut). Then caramel and vanilla. A light, fruity note that is difficult to grasp, possibly a raspberry note, in addition to the apple aroma together with dry hay and malt. A sweet bourbon aroma comes out at the back.
    • Taste
      68 68
light !!! Seasoning from the oak tree that is quickly gone; you can clearly hear the hazelnut.
    • Finish
      68 68
short. the nutty aroma stays a little longer; getting drier at the back and the apple (Granny Smith) is very late.

The age of the wine should be very young. The aroma is better than expected. The sweetness of the sweetness is pleasing. In the young Bourbon barrel, the tonality of the creamy nut has appeared, but it is slightly deliberately becoming a little intimate with the fruity flavor. Requested

Very sharp. Little depth. Good for by the coke.

Easy drink without off-notes, cheap but good value.
    • Nose
      78 78
Lots of white fruit with a soft floral undertone, ending with a bit of malt. Noncomplex but agreeable.
    • Taste
      75 75
White fruit remains dominant, now joined by some wood, pretty dry and uninteresting. Obviously watered down.
    • Finish
      74 74
Very short and dry, mostly nutty.

  17. schengel10 scored this whisky 65 points Connoisseur

Very cheap - very young - very easy!
    • Nose
      light, fruity (green apple, pear), some malt;
    • Taste
Soft onset, fruity (apples, grapes), subtle spiciness, young and simple, but without off-flavors!
    • Finish
      very short, fruity finish;

  18. coldsun scored this whisky 74 points Expert Senior

Flavor is very weak with elements of caramel, vanilla, flowers and prunes. Taste has notes of oak and flowers. Finish is weak, malty and vanilla.
Actually it is simple but pleasant whisky just to drink and relax.

Provides for its price more than I expected. No miss notes, uncomplicated, alcohol relatively well integrated. In the long run to one-dimensional, but as a calibration dram, for savers or beginners a good choice. Many NAS blends are preferable.
    • Nose
Malt, honey, pear, lemon, fresh, light
    • Taste
Cereals, apple, pear, oak, light biter on the tongue
    • Finish
      Short, soft, dry, hazelnut

This was from a fresh bottle but it tastes like 30% rather than 40%.I know its cheap, light & fresh and not supposed to be complex but in reality it was just far too weak to be enjoyable, it tastes like someone has already put far too much water in it.

Almost a sweet soft drink. Difficult to recognize as an adult whisky.
    • Nose
      sweet-sour fruits, raspberries, blackberries.
    • Taste
Sweet. Sugar spiders, chewing gum. There is a slightly musty undertone.
