- This whisky has a story to tell, a story that spans over 20 years. It is not suitable for action fans. But those who want to listen to the poetry of a steady, quiet maturation under near-perfect conditions will be rewarded with a dram that is second to none! TASTING BY JULIA NOURNEY
Discreet spicy, tobacco, mineral, ripe fruit and some leather, the complexity of this whisky is so rich that you simply miss the words. With a little thinner, the whisky is spicy and slightly perfumed.
Tobacco, leather, ripe fruit and perfectly balanced, soft spicy notes on the palate, round and complex, all in all very dense and clean. With water, some wood appears and the spicy notes intensify.
Very long-lasting, spicy and complex, with dark cocoa notes blended with cardamom and nutmeg.
- would have to have been a heavily toasted oak barrel. Really nice sweet, creamy. Vanilla and caramel.
