Whisky Reviews for Linkwood 1997 CWC

- This one features fruity notes which are partly out of the ordinary (see other reviewers), very interesting, maybe not as quaffable as some of your standard malts from a hogshead. For a moment I was reminded of an Irish Whisky (malt, not single pot still, mind you). Good addition to your liquid library.
- Wonderful on the nose, complex on the palate with a short finish. Nice fruit and sweetness.
First a little red grapes with citrus fruits. They are probably oranges. The alcohol cools the nose without really disturbing or tickling. Dark heavy forest honey comes after a few minutes and hand warmth.
Fruity, sweet and tasty. Soft and yet intense. Salivation ons. Round and balanced, elegant, very complex. I find it difficult to describe the flavors more closely.
First, the fruity sweetness that dominates for a while dominates. Then it gets drier and the oak of the barrel comes out, but only weakly. First, a short finish. For further slaps then persist medium long.
