Unfortunately, this bottling does not really meet my taste. He is too unbalanced and bitter in the finish. A few years more maturation would certainly not have hurt.
    • Nose
The nose is very fresh at first. I recognize vanilla, gooseberries, hay and grasses. There are also light notes of hazelnuts. With water, aromas of apple and grows up.
    • Taste
The taste reflects the nose pretty well. It is malty with cereals, develops a light acidity and finally offers lemon sorbet and pear.
    • Finish
The finish is fierce and powerful with cayenne pepper, nuts and a strong bitterness.

I like refill maturation, yet this one was probably bottled a bit too fast. It's still quite rough and plain.
    • Nose
A typical refill nose. It has enough spirit character (very fruity), but the rough edges are gone. This leads to smells of pear, maybe some green apple, tinned peach, icing sugar, coconut, a little bit of vanilla, cream and cut grass.
    • Taste
Without water, this is too hot. With water: better, still alcoholic, yet later it gets creamier with vanilla, icing sugar, pear, and mint.
    • Finish
Quite hot, even with water. Lot's of rough pepper-y edges. Then, coconut, vanilla, and pear.

Something askew and out of bounds in sum, but what pleases me in a certain way, is always sweeter with time
    • Nose
fresh green apple, vanilla yoghurt, a bit like fruit schnapps, Williams pear, rose hips, malty beer, salad dressing, vinegar and oil, sweetened Turkish apple tea, an almost foul sweetness lies over the malt, then dilutes wax, fresh blown candle
    • Taste
initially quite hot, almost burning, then develops sweet vanilla, malt and wood, tingling
    • Finish
Herbs predominate, rosemary, medium-long, looks rather tart and tangy instead of ripe

After I had him in glass for a short time I realized that it takes time !!! Accordingly, I have again poured into 2 glasses. One was poured already 2h earlier.
Nose: Glass 1 / (fresh) Slightly alcoholic, pear, peach, freshly squeezed orange juice, vanilla and looks a bit creamy Glass 2 / (2h breathed) He opens himself noticeably! Now come notes of green apple, pineapple, subtle coconut, brown sugar and spicy honey
Taste: Glass 1 / Oookay, a little reserved at first. Here again I have the peach, also vanilla, creme brulee, white chocolate Glass 2 / Here I have the apples again, the pineapple I have now too. However, the sugary from the tin.
Finish: Medium length, light bourbon wood notes and gets a little spicier
Conclusion: well selected Bourbon barrel. The Malt will be noticeably better with some time. He likes pretty much, I would have liked with 3-4 years even better. Nonetheless ... Anyone who likes good Bourbon matures can safely access them here. Beautiful, no frills and without junk marks.

Conclusion: 91 out of 100 points - "fruit basket". A true basket of fruit, which in its rather discreet nose indicates what is in the mouth to full advantage. Not too complex, but surprisingly sweet and fruity. A great summer whisky with dangerous sweetness. Link to the tasting on my blog: http://www.tasting-notes.de/Archive/568
    • Nose
Present citrus fruits. When the alcohol is gone, aromas of pear, green apples and some banana come through. A great basket of fruit.
    • Taste
Directly sweet with pear and banana, with hints of honey and fine bourbon vanilla. The alcohol is very well integrated and supports the fruity sweetness very well.
    • Finish
Medium long very sweet finish of ripe fruit with a splash of lemon and vanilla sauce. Towards the end a bit tart with subtle notes of freshly broken branches, becoming a bit grassy and bitter. This gives the whisky a certain "youthfulness".
