    • Nose
A bit reluctant at first. Dried Apricots, Raisins, Honey, Hazelnut. A hint of candle wax and orange zest. Vanilla. Some white pepper.
    • Taste
Creamy with a subtle spice. Dried fruits, honey, almonds, marzipan and wax. A touch of pepper. Black tea with orange peel. A bit thin at the end, rather short.

we had a great chilled day with many delicious drops that we know - the nose and the palate are certainly in top shape today and not overstrained.

The complete dram from the division of H Spekter with top filling level came into a hand-rinsed snifter - let it breathe for 30 minutes with the lid - warmed up - enjoyed with and without the lid - NÖÖÖÖÖ

we tried very hard to like it - was expensive - is old - not good for me close to irrelevant diluted - we don't even talk about price.

In the price and valuation class, I expect a certain effortlessly enjoyable performance from the drop - it can't - the sherry profile is also much too modern for me - afterwards we have https://www.whiskybase.com/whiskies/whisky/6761/glen -grant-1967-dl den in the glass and celebrate it - classic sherry profile of this era - a little balsamic, dry - delicious woody and spicy - that's 93 points for me
    • Nose

The nose is only short and filigree after the cover is lifted off - immediately disintegrates into nothing

with a lot of patience and warming up and high concentration, at some point a shy nose with sherry, leaves, flowers and delicious oak comes too thin and too weak
    • Taste
      88 88
Pleasing with a nice Oloroso Shery profile - nice and creamy, buttery with a bitter, delicate oak - the intensity is practically nonexistent - toothless old grandpa - the points are for the aromas - the intensity would not have deserved 80 points
    • Finish
      84 84
sorry - nothing - what is weak on the palate - even with long patient chewing there is only a weak finish

A dream! The old Mac pulls out all the stops and enchants the nose, I almost can't get my nose out of the nosing glass and would just like to inhale the great stuff! But that would be a real shame and a waste, the taste of the old Mac also flatters the palate and tongue. Gentle, solid, complex, multi-layered with an elegant character. An absolute dream material to melt away!

    • Nose
Creamy caramel and intense amber shine in the Premium Snifter, a multitude of syrup-like "legs" are released from the streaks adhering to the glass wall. Creamy hazelnuts and almonds dominate the first impression with minimal toasted aromas, raisins and other dried fruits combine with toffee and sugar candy, mandarins fall into creamy honey, grated soft milk chocolate falls on pieces of apricot and whole coffee beans. Hints of dried tobacco leaves, opened humidor and cedar wood seduce the nose. Minimal smoky notes are released from finely spicy wood tones, the peeling of orange peel ends in old mint and hints of eucalyptus. The nose is wonderfully balanced, multi-layered and beguiling with its old and solid style. Do I smell a hint of wet leather? I could spend hours on this wonderful nose!
    • Taste
The first sip flows mildly and spicy on the tongue, raisins combine with a hint of tobacco and rubbing off oranges, creamy toffee and chocolate drip from the tongue, increasing sharpness stimulates the saliva, oranges and mandarins are added. A hint of sour grapefruit dissolves from creamy wood tones, a handful of hazelnuts roll into liquid toffee, minimally sweet raisins show up. A wonderfully gentle hint of sweetish tobacco, hints of smoky wood and old leather exude their old and solid aroma, gently melted toffee and caramel on the tongue, milk chocolate melts in the mouth. The mouthfeel is incredibly soft and creamy, the stimulated saliva sloshes through the jaw, minimally there is mint and menthol freshness. In the background there is an old and spicy wood note ...
    • Finish
Creamy hazelnut and toffee stick on the palate, zests of oranges play with grapefruit and tobacco. Hints of smoke and steamed oak, hazelnuts end in wet leaves and tart citrus fruits. The sometimes bitter flavors rest for a long time, from time to time oranges and grapefruit, as well as toffee and tobacco, appear.

Quite unlike the predecessor of 1966. Softer, brighter but also complex. Everyone a great malt for themselves, but different as day and night. Killed me a little less than the dark 66, but earned 93 points.
    • Nose
A little honey and almonds make the first impression. The sherry is rather light for this age of the malts and characterized by a strong orange flavor. Less heavy and dark, rather deep and complex. Sultanas / non-sulphured raisins in a toffe slowly melts on the tongue. The barrel wort tingles, but only a little pepper, more nutmeg spreads. The oranges spread again very strong. Although this bottling is by Gordon & Macphail, the Macallan character is very pronounced. The Eich holds back a lot. Wax combines with the intensifying oak, reminiscent of an old but freshly rebuilt parcel.
    • Taste
Short oak in the taste, quickly the malt is briefly sweet until the oranges dominate the whole taste. With some pepper, the oak comes back strong. She carries a soft cigar tobacco and antique furniture touches. Grapefruit without sugar but pleasantly bitter slowly turns into dark chocolate. Slightly oily, and chewable, he slowly flows down the throat.
    • Finish
Almost a bit bland in the first second, the oak suddenly explodes. For a long time it is pleasantly bitter, like a piece of Merci tart cream, in the finish. Oranges and a rest of the grapefruit stick in the throat. The tannins expand after a while. Far in the finish, after a few minutes, comes a little Mazipan in dark chocolate to the fore until it is finally devoured again by the woody oak.

    G&M Tasting Note:
Nose: Sherry influences initially with raisin, tangerine, and
fudge aromas are complemented by a beeswax polish edge. Dried tobacco
and coffee notes develop with a subtle hint of charred oak. With water:
Delicate Sherry aromas mingle with demerara sugar, orange, and festive
spices. A savoury note - a hint of fresh popcorn - is complemented by
    cocoa powder.
Palate: Peppery but creamy with rich orange marmalade and charred
oak flavours, complemented by a liquorice note. With water: Smooth and
peppery initially with crème caramel flavours accompanied by a briny
    note.
Finish: Long, balanced, and slightly drying. Hints of Brazil nut. With water: charred oak and lime cordial flavours.
