  1. malthead-sven scored this whisky 89 points Expert Senior

Fulfills exactly what is expected of a long-matured Bourbon Cask Malt, lots of fruit, pastries and slightly exotic, plus a pronounced softness on the tongue.
    • Nose
Spruce laths from the hardware store, fried bananas with honey, limes and mint, almost like a mojito, then vanilla rises, rooibos tea, green apples, poppy seed cake
    • Taste
very soft and at the same time full in the mouth, conspicuous lemony taste develops, bright fruits, mandarins
    • Finish
very elegant, medium length with a memory of pancakes with cinnamon and sugar, finally dry sweetness remains in the mouth

A nice dram, especially for lovers of sweet taste profiles. This bottling could be a nice winter whisky.
    • Nose
The nose is really fun: sweet notes of caramel, candy and cream mix with fruity elements of apples and freshly baked bread.
    • Taste
The taste also impresses first with a nice sweet profile. After some time, after a lot of honey and candied oranges, cayenne pepper is added.
    • Finish
Sweetness also dominates the medium to long finish. But now bread and especially gingerbread come to the fore.

  4. Georges scored this whisky 83 points Connoisseur

    • Nose
Mineral notes, fruity (oranges, peaches, apples, kiwi), gummi bears, vanilla
    • Taste
Fruity (lemons, grapefruit), spicy (pepper, ginger), wasabi
    • Finish
      Rather long, spicy (ginger), citrus

  5. Calmar scored this whisky 85 points Connoisseur

Something did not go completely this mole with me - the plastic-chemical notes spoil everything, although if you digress from them the product is well-tailored, one-piece and high-quality, that-whether, but that's not it.
    • Nose
      Restrained, dry, wood dust, mineral notes - chalk, plaster solution; fresh cucumber, daikon, light shades of solvent and ether, raw birch firewood;
    • Taste
A sharp, dusty-wooden, peppery wave, plastic, chemical sweetness.
    • Finish
Sweet, plastic, something chemical - tablets, medicine; in the background, something herbaceous, confectionery, orange peel, ginger.

Interesting bright bread sweet and fresh smell. The taste is much simpler, the aftertaste is weak. Age is felt, but for 27 years is very weak.
