Whisky Reviews for Ardbeg 1993 HB

- Awesome good Ardbeg with great greasy nose but initially seems quite restrained. But in the mouth explodes this malt, A firework of fruit sweetness, aromatic smoke and spices (including cinnamon) from the oak. The finish is long with warm fire and strong oak. This is how a middle aged smoker has to taste! No comparison to the modern Ardbeg bottlings. Top whisky but also at a cheeky price.
- Unfortunately it was touched on the fair for a short time and was one of my best Ardbegs ....
Smoked bacon, heather, moss, but in the nose all but half closed, needs a lot of heat and even then the cocooning heather and some ash in the priority
Smoked bacon, brown sugar, fructose, algae chips, toffee, herbal honey, vanilla, beautiful oak washed ashore, cinnamon and clove, aromatic briquette
Long, warming, campfire on the cocoon, burnt toast, nutmeg and clove, some brown sugar still
