  2. dRambo scored this whisky 73 points Connoisseur

better than I thought - but I do not need more than one dram
    • Nose
Apple, pear, lemon juice, citrus zests, toasted cereal and bright fresh wood, honey and vanilla - to get some cardboard
    • Taste
sweet, slightly tingling, fresh mint, quite strong woody notes, citrus, grassy, some birch sap
    • Finish
delicate woody note, slightly dry, slightly bitter, cardboard, pepper, the alcohol is noticeable

  3. peatbogger scored this whisky 73 points Specialist

    It's cheap, and it's noticable.

  4. peatbogger scored this whisky 73 points Specialist

As a pure malt vatting I find it rather disapointing and boring. But then it's marketed as a mixing malt.
    • Nose
Sweet apples, canned pear, floral, faint vanilla undertone.
    • Taste
Initial impression is bland before some spice arrive, not much though.

      Sweet bourbon vanilla.

      Some artificial feel to it.
    • Finish
      Weak and short.

Watered out impression.Slightly bittersweet and drying.
