Whisky Reviews for Glenlivet Founder's Reserve
5 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 75.42 points
- I am having some more of this and to be honest I have been harsh in my scoring, I still would not pay £30-£35 for it but my score is going up to 77 points.
I can appreciate why some may like this as it is quite light and easily sippable but if you want complexity this may not cut it for you.
- I have steered clear in this price range and stuck with the 10 year Glenmorangie as a cheap session dram but tried this tonight. It tastes like it is 6-8 years old and is almost in cheap blend territory when you consider the fullness of the palate on this one. It is on special at the moment in many UK supermarkets for £20-£22 and you are not getting ripped off at that price are you, but at £30 - £35 I would put my money to better use when it is not on special offer.
This whisky just sums up NAS and if this is a prima facia example of NAS then you can keep it, an unexciting single malt.
