  1. Marko_I did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

Mjam, great nose, very delicious, but 130 € for 18er OA ausm Bourbon keg, not even whimsically limited or CS ... really, people? Praise it like Glenlivet 18 and it will be a hit!
    • Nose
smells awesome, if only I knew what ... beautiful, slightly sweet fruit, so between citrus and pineapple, similar to golden bear knows, just a hint of ripe banana, some mint ... almost nothing dark / bitter, just a light aromatic dusty-woody note
    • Taste
It starts with the same beautiful fruitiness as the nose, which I do not even downstairs again, maybe a little sweeter, then it becomes dry and velvety: cocoa, white pepper, wooden pencil, something cinnamon-like, but rather in a slightly bitter direction
    • Finish
long, cocoa to coffee, pepper (or fine sandpaper with sawdust?), some licorice, very dry

with water: adds a nice herbal note, also a little more sweetness, it clearly gains with a few drops of water

Conclusion: a wonderful bourbon cask stored whisky, especially with a little water, the finish is really great, the silky mouthfeel also convinces me, only the nose is maybe a little too weak. All in all, however, too expensive at around EUR 115.00
    • Nose
      86 86
A lot of pineapple with a light tobermory dirt (leather, mineral earth), vanilla, honey, orange peel, grain, subtle oak notes and a little anise
    • Taste
      88 88
Great start with a silky creaminess, light fruits (apple, pineapple and a little pear), caramel, honey, oak spice, subtle vanilla
    • Finish
      88 88
Medium length, very pleasant with vanilla, biscuit dough, fruit and honey, pure liquorice aromas and a little clove from the oak

Mineral, quite fruity, pears, toffee, white pepper, not bad at all

  4. dram-drinker scored this whisky 88 points Moderator

Rather easy drinkable and good but not a very typical Tobermory, definitely more mainstream
    • Nose
      89 89
Yellow fruits, peach, ripe pear, pineapple, little mango, banana, little honey, also some citrus fruits, blond orange, little lemony, vanilla, cookie dough - really not bad
    • Taste
      88 88
Little oily and sirupy, good sweetness, more yellow fruits, little vanilla, little spicy, little floral, pepper, little honey, hints of dry hay
    • Finish
      87 87
Medium long, warm, little fruity and spicy

  6. Calmar scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

A pleasant floral whisky with a strong woody influence on the palate, the aroma is the best here - very varied and harmoniously composed, the taste / finish with some excess of oak looks much simpler.
    • Nose
      Open, dry, bright floral dominant, honey, propolis, light mineral notes - stone dust, drying plaster; candied citrus fruits, lemon peel, crushed grain, dry boards, coated tablets, freshly cut grass, yellow apples, some tropical fruits - mango, pineapple, papaya;
    • Taste
Powerful, rich, oak is already dominating here, a little harsh, softened by honey-herbal notes and sweet, creamy-vanilla tones, a powerful pepper wave, ginger, coated tablets, astringency of young bark, mineral shades.
    • Finish
Light, refreshing, oak, bark, ginger, florals, propolis, lemon rind.

Delicious! Not totally complex, but I could drink this whisky very regularly, it's just very pleasant.
    • Nose
      88 88
Sour apple, lemon, mineral, sweet pineapple. Something reminds me of the smell of a fair that is in the air when you walk past the candy stalls, maybe something like candied nuts.
    • Taste
      89 89
Sweet, mineral, pineapple, light wood notes, a bit peppery, nice and spicy
    • Finish
      88 88
Wood comes to the fore, egg yolk (I first got this association with a whisky). Again sweet and spicy. Licorice.
