- Nose: sweet sherry, maybe cream or PX; creamy smoke, currant, ash, lemon, fermented grapes, raw cane sugar.
Mouth: creamy, leathery, sherry acid, juicy.
Finish: fresh, mentholy, ashy, beach (mussels, seaweed), herbal, with time woodiness comes. "Herbs - Bacon - Sherry".
- the finish so far is the winner but the palate is hard to get other than a (sweet) peat.
quite unrestrained with peat quite prominent. less fudge than butterscotch, some lemon or astringent note present
peat quite strong but there is not enough sweetness from the sherry coming through
medium->long; peat and heat coming through; now getting some furring in the mouth; a slight grain note as the finish tails off; lacking a bit in sweetness; now refluxing
Peat, cranberry and light spices. A bit farmy as well, but not as huge as some other Ledaigs.
More spicy now. Peat, cranberry and toffee.
Peat, cranberry and toffee.
- Nose: Very Sherried nose, some peat
Taste: Wow, lovelyMarmalade Laphroaig
Surprisingly good for a 10 non Islay. But wouldn't pay 150.
