  1. MaltMartin scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

Dangerously (and easy) drinkable bourbon. This miniature was bottled in 1960's. Distilled in the former Heaven Hill distillery (DSP-KY-31) in Bardstown which was destroyed in a catastrophic fire in November 1996.
    • Nose
The nose starts quite fruity with strawberries and raspberries. Hints of polished furniture. Cedar wood notes and fresh pencil shaving. Some sawdust. But also some flowery (greenhouse) notes.
    • Taste
Juicy oak intermingled with molasses and caramel. Some dried apricots and figs. Clover honey. Butterscotch. Beeswax. Hints of aniseed and fennel. Later on more on dark coffee and chocolate.
    • Finish
Medium long. A little nutmeg. Cinnamon. Cumin. Smooth and perfectly balanced.
