    Absolutely not overmatured fruit bomb!
    My only "problem" is over the 49 years the ABV is reduced to 40.5%. Even so expressive.
    • Nose
      Fruity, spicy: tangerine, melon, apricots, marzipan, flower honeys and vanilla
    • Taste
      Creamy, spicy, fruity: orange, grape, raspberry, peach, sour citruses, oak, vanilla, pepper and flower honeys
    • Finish
      Long, fruity

    What finesse! How sweet ! It's impossible to dislike this whisky (or you have to be even more difficult than me). A treat from start to finish, and dangerously drinkable. Each sip calls the next. He just misses some% alcohol to be perfect. 91/100 (very close to 92 ).
    • Nose
      A great finesse, a direct sweetness, and melted flavors that marry in a certain harmony. Fruit tree honey, apricot, mandarin syrup. The wet fern that passes at times. The nose continues to evolve over time, on the basket of fruits and apricot blossom.
    • Taste
      Flower honey and sweet mandarin juice dominate. From fruit paste to apricot. A harmonious marriage. This mouth is obviously very easy to access and not at all alcoholic, this due to low alcohol.
    • Finish
      Short. Mandarin continues to stream in waves. Grape-raspberry skin, and a mini-pinch of sweet spices.

    • Nose
      Very sweet, with varnish, barley sugar. Fees too. Macadamia nuts, strawberry jam, apricot jam. Creamy toffee.
    • Taste
      Ultra melted, super soft, velvety. Sweet spices reduced to a minimum. Very fragrant. Late, notes of exotic fruits such as found in old cognacs. The reduction keeps me from being completely ecstatic.
    • Finish
      Then there are the exotic fruits with a slightly woody return in a velvet finish of the most beautiful effect!

    This is a whisky balanced precariously on a razor’s edge. Wood and fruit in a pitched battle for your attention. The good news, the fruit wins but only just. This whisky was bottled just in the nick of time, another 6 months and the wood would likely be the victor. A really delicious old whisky, but you need to like a stiff dose of high quality oak in your dram. I do!

    • Nose
      Elegant and aromatic. Buttercroissant, fresh pancakes, almond and marzipan pastry. Coconut, vanilla, some liquid glue. Orange blossom and freshly sawn light wood.
    • Taste
      Velvety soft, very round. Peach, apricots, mango, passion fruit. Almonds, walnuts, orange chocolate, light oak.

    The smell immediately beats me. Otherwise, I'm not that lyrical type, but with this whisky I can not help but describe the smell in a picture. Especially on the palate and the finish you can feel the age, but I expected even more violent at 49 years. But this is an old gentleman who flatters and acts with style instead of loud clapping. A very nice whisky.
    • Nose
      Immediately a conflict of intense vanilla and very ripe, sweet lemon, piled firewood, forest honey, orange, chamomile, a hint of lavender. The whisky smells like a summer meadow in the heat of the afternoon, golden sun and buzzing bees.
    • Taste
      A soft onset and a buttery creamy mouth flatter the tongue, caramel, and then oak, very present, but also very gentle, little to find bitterness, the sweetness of the nose steps back a bit and makes room for notes of tea, a little Dark chocolate, tangerine
    • Finish
      Also on the finish the oak dominates in a very pleasant way, in addition to classic impressions of malt, bitter North beer, a slight association of salt, bread crust, long

    What a dram! 91/92.
    • Nose
      Dried apricot. Candied orange from a christmas cake. Vanilla, marzipan and honey. Fantastic nose, very full and not over-aged at all.
    • Taste
      Orange, vanilla, caramel, grapefruit, oak, peach and pepper. Later also some honey and cream.
    • Finish
      Candied orange, peach, vanilla, marzipan and oak.

    Very nice old malt, some sweet and delicate notes. Perfect to drink, not too low in alc volume.

    Very own and interesting Lochside, he lacks something the dirty notes that Lochside often has and the Tropik in the nose, she is more likely to start, but otherwise beautiful part.

      Caramelised pear, pecans, nougat, liquid honey, apricot with kernel, marzipan, some citrus notes in between
    • Taste
      Netted melon, papaya, nougat, camphor, cardamom, pear, toffee and butter, caoutchouc, nut chocolate, some saffron, honey marinated in oak, candied ginger, sweet malt
    • Finish
      Coffee, nuts, nougat, apricot, dried papaya, saffron, long

    Wonderful old malt, which, despite only 40.5%, is absolutely present and voluminous. Here flowers, fruits and old wood notes go hand in hand and are all preserved until the long finish ... great!

      Vanilla, ginger, mandarin, creamy-spicy, caramel, grapefruit, lemon, white coffee, some dark chocolate, Brazil nuts - despite the only 40.5% very intense
    • Finish

      long; Milk coffee, cardamom, ginger, grapefruit, burnt caramel, a hint of jasmine black tea, vanilla ...
