- at the level of old pedestrians .. delicious old blend
- This was much more expressive on the palate than I was expecting with a nice peat/spice combo, slightly thin but the flavours are good and I am a Cluny fan.
Cheap at auctions but lots of variation wit the Nas, 5 & 12 year offerings.
Glad to get a sample of this one :)
Light & fragrant with a nice grapefruit note, at first, a little honeydew melon (perhaps, not sure) , mango and a little dried apricot mixed with cream.
Leave it for a few minutes as it seems to develop becoming more expressive with air.
Like a bag of light coloured fruit gums and finally the grain comes out with the fruit, a nice cereal note.
Lordy, this one is spicy and peaty which is a real surprise as the nose did not hint at anything like this. The effect is all front load and the a fruity fade out.
Bags pf cream, a little lemon, sweet grapefruit and a very faint apple note with developing faint orange but (you really have to work at finding the orange) and wafer, and a little biscuit.
The peat actually grows on this one
Not the longest which you often find on old blends remaining sweet and slightly dry.
